Women In Leadership of Central Illinois has a variety of ways to get involved within the organization:

Monthly luncheons:

  • Bring a guest – Share the fun with friends
  • Bring a door prize – Door prizes are a way to get your name and company noticed.
  • Greeter – Volunteer to be a greeter at the monthly luncheon.
  • Contribute to a special event – Food donations
  • Participate in “Toot Your Horn” – 30 seconds of sharing your special celebration

Join a Committee:

  • Ambassador’s Program – is responsible for contacting new members and helping them get the most out of being a WIL member. Ambassadors are assigned a new member for three months and rotate leading new member orientation meetings. Contact President Elect, Lindsey Kerr to join.
  • Program Committee – identifies members programming needs, develops topics and speaker lists, survey’s membership for program effectiveness and gears topics around membership requests. Contact VP of Programs, Sarah Fletcher to join.
  • Annual Conference Committee – is responsible for planning the WIL Annual Conference. Focus on spotlighting/marketing member’s businesses, providing educational sessions and increasing WIL awareness in the community. Contact VP of Annual Conference, Yvonne Long to join.
  • Awards Committee – works with VP of Awards to plan the annual May Awards luncheon.  Responsible for selecting judges, presenting awards and taking an active role with the luncheon.  Contact VP of Awards, Misty Tunyuck to join.
  • Marketing Committee – is responsible for developing ideas to market the WIL organization. This committee supports each of the other committees to keep a consistent branding of WIL marketing material including website and social media. Contact VP of Public Relations, Jess McMullin to join.
  • Technology Committee – is responsible for developing short and long-term goals for the WIL website and familiarizing themselves with the website operations, new trends and social media outlets.  Contact VP of Technology, Wendy Bass to join.
  • Membership Committee/Growth – is responsible for developing short and long-term goals for membership retention, ideas to attract new members from category list currently empty, developing more efficient ways for members to pay membership fees (ie: through website form), generate ideas for membership drive, surveying membership to see that WIL is currently meeting membership needs. Contact VP of Membership, Whitney Goldstein to join.
